This project is a comprehensive residential renovation for Mr. Trilok Tak, located in Jaman Nagar, near AIIMS Jodhpur, with a total built-up area of 5,500 sq. ft. The design approach focuses on transforming an existing structure into a contemporary home through thoughtful reconfiguration, refined materiality, and a cohesive architectural language.

The primary intent of the renovation was to modernize the existing residence while retaining its structural framework. By reimagining the façade and internal spatial flow, the project achieves a fresh, contemporary identity without compromising the integrity of the original building. Strong geometry, layered volumes, and balanced proportions form the foundation of the renewed architectural expression.

The exterior transformation plays a key role in redefining the home’s character. Clean horizontal planes, recessed balconies, and carefully articulated vertical elements create depth and visual interest. A neutral palette of beige, off-white, and textured stone finishes lends the façade a timeless appeal, while deep projections provide both climatic protection and architectural emphasis.

The renovation redefines the existing structure through layered volumes, clean geometry, and a timeless neutral material palette.

Carefully reworked spatial planning enhances openness and natural light while preserving the original structural framework.

Landscape elements are seamlessly integrated into the renovated façade to soften the massing and enhance the overall street presence. Green pockets, planters, and palms introduce a sense of calm and warmth, ensuring the residence feels welcoming and grounded within its urban surroundings.

Internally, the renovation focuses on spatial clarity and visual continuity. Existing layouts were reworked to create more open, fluid living spaces that respond to contemporary lifestyle needs. The living and dining areas are designed as interconnected zones, encouraging interaction while maintaining clear functional zoning.

The interior design language remains minimal yet warm, defined by a neutral color palette, natural textures, and clean detailing. Wooden finishes, subtle stone accents, and matte surfaces are used to bring depth and character to the spaces without overwhelming them. Every element is carefully curated to maintain a sense of balance and restraint.

Lighting design plays a crucial role in enhancing the renovated interiors. A combination of recessed lights, linear fixtures, and sculptural pendant lighting highlights architectural features and creates layered illumination. This thoughtful lighting strategy allows the spaces to transition effortlessly from day to evening, adapting to different moods and functions.

Private spaces such as bedrooms are designed to be calm and understated, offering a retreat from the more social areas of the house. Soft tones, comfortable furnishings, and integrated storage solutions ensure functionality while preserving a clutter-free aesthetic. Each room reflects a consistent design language while catering to individual comfort.

Special attention was given to material selection and detailing to ensure longevity and ease of maintenance. The renovation emphasizes durable finishes and timeless materials that age gracefully, aligning with the client’s desire for a home that remains relevant and elegant over time.
